Saudi Proptech Ghanem Raises $1.5 Million Extension to Take Pre-Seed Total to $8.6 Million
Ghanem has raised an additional $1.5 million in a pre-seed extension, taking its total pre-seed funding to $8.6 million. The Riyadh-based platform lets investors buy fractional shares in income-generating Saudi properties from SAR 1,000.
Saudi proptech startup Ghanem has raised an additional $1.5 million in a pre-seed extension. The new funding takes the company’s total pre-seed round to $8.6 million.
The extension was backed by real estate companies and strategic angel investors. Ghanem said the new capital will support product development, a wider range of property investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
Ghanem operates a fractional real estate ownership platform in Saudi Arabia. It lets individuals and institutions invest in income-generating properties, with minimum investments starting at SAR 1,000 depending on the opportunity.
The company has completed several property transactions and distributes rental income to investors every month. It says these distributions have run without delays.
For its first income-generating property opportunity, Ghanem issued digital fractional ownership deeds to 580 individuals. The deeds are registered through a digital integration with Saudi Arabia’s Real Estate Registry, so ownership is documented in each investor’s name.
“We are working to make property ownership more accessible through a clear digital experience and ownership documented in the investor’s name.”
“This pre-seed extension provides important support for the next stage of our journey.”
Both quotes are from Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi, chief executive and co-founder of Ghanem.
Ghanem was founded in 2025 by Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi and Amr Essam. The Riyadh-based company operates within the regulatory sandbox of the Real Estate General Authority, which supervises its fractional ownership model.
The extension follows an earlier $7.1 million raise that included Al-Romaih Group. Waad Investment has also backed the company.
Ghanem says listed properties go through verification, due diligence, and valuation. Its products are also approved by a Sharia committee.
We will keep tracking how fractional ownership grows in Saudi Arabia as more investors buy into income-generating property through platforms like Ghanem.
